Do my eyes need to be dilated at my visit?
Answer, Maybe. Most of our comprehensive or annual eye examinations would need dilated eyes for a thorough assessment. We use mild dilating drops, and most patients are able to see comfortable, with dark glasses, after their appointment. However, If you are unsure how you respond to dilation, or feel more comfortable doing so, bringing a driver would be recommended. You can decline dilation at any time in our office.
What is covered by my insurance?
We accept Medicare and most PPO’s. If you have an HMO plan that we are contracted with, we require an intial referral from your primary care doctor. Our Optometrist accepts most Vision Plans. We will research your benefits, and explain them to you at your visit. If you have any questions, it is always recommended to call our office so we can better assist you.
Do I need a face mask?
You are no longer required to wear a face mask in our office. However, we do ask that if you are not feeling well, please wear one or kindly reschedule your appointment.
Can I make a same day appointment?
We offer same day emergent and urgent appointments. Please call our office if you have an urgent issue.
How long will my appointment take?
This is a difficult question to answer! We estimate that your total appointment time should range between 1 hour to 90 minutes, depending on your needs. We pride ourselves in patient care, and sometimes that means longer wait times as we tend to the patient ahead of you. We assure you that when it’s your time to see the doctor, you will be given the same attention and courtesy that we are known for.
What if my medication is not covered by my insurance?
Dr. Duzman will prescribe medications that are the standard of care for treatment of your condition. Unfortunately, not all medications are covered and this is an insurance issue, not a medical one. Naturally, Dr. Duzman prefers that you take the medications as prescribed without generic substitutions as often as possible. If you have an issue, please have your pharmacy contact us directly.
